Farewell to the greatest Doctor of them all...David Tennant can say more with an empty stare than most actors can when awash with grief. I have known every Doctor and loved most of them, but none as keenly as this one. I was crying like a seven year old who had just lost his first pup as I watched this man take his final bow. Kudos for giving the Doctor/Rose relationaship the respect it deserved. The Doctor chose his final moment well. Full CircleI have thoroughly enjoyed each of the special episodes so far and am amazed at the freshness of each one. Knowing that David Tennant will soon be seen on American Television makes the adjustment to the new Doctor a bit more bearable, especially since Matt Smith has great energy. The Best Episodes of the Re-Launch, And the Most Touching RegengerationThe End of Time was truly epic, even surpases Journey's End! A truly epic battle between the Doctor and the Master, but more-ver, for the sake of creation, and all of time! The drums are getting louder... BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM!!! The Master found a way to restore himself as usual, and is now coming back to seek his vengence. The people of earth are having bad dreams, and the Ood warn the Doctor "Something is returning" By the end, the Doctor had doomed his people for the second time, and who knows if we'll even see the Master again, as the Master also feel back-into the Time Lock. FUN FACT: The woman who mysteriously appears randomly to talk to Wilfred, and the one you cried as Galifrey fell back-into the Time War, is, accourding to Davies, the Doctor's Mother. David also has the most touching regeneration, saying eariler in part 1 how regeneration is equal to death, one man falls and another walks away. His last line made me shed a single man-tear, "I don't want to go". Bit of a shame though, he tried holding it in so long, that when the regeneration energy finally burst, took out the TARDIS. I guess the fact that he crashed while regenerating made him bonkers, becuase that's the way the 11th Doctor is. After all, regeneration makes any Doctor loopy to begin with, and crashing couldn't have helped much etheir..Score: 5/5
End of a Regeneration and what a great one!!!!When Russell T. Davies met David Tennant did he know Doctor Who would change forever? Tennant's Doctor is pain wrapped in hope with a splash of Gallefreian ego. The farewell of Tennant is only half the story as Davies also steps aside. This regeneration of writing and acting styles shows the real heart of the Who idea: A never age-ing story based on purpose and science-fiction. Watch as each human companion steadly changes the homeless alien's perspective on life even with a 900+ year age and unknown lifespan. HELP!!!!First, let me say that I have been a Doctor Who fan since 1979 when it was on PBS in Chicago. I am still a fan and now my girls are fans as well. Next to Tom Baker, David Tennants Doctor was AWESOME. These last four episodes was FANTASTIC. Hopefully Matt Smith's Doctor will be just as good. I'll give him a chane, just like I gave Peter Davidson's Doctor a chance and I enjoyed his Doctor as well. Now, I need some help. The Tenth Doctor is my personal favourite because he was a perfect balance of humour, darkness and sadness. I was in no hurry for him to leave but I knew the moment was inevitable. The return on the Master, predicted in the very first special, was greatly anticipated and Russel T Davies did not dissapoint. John Simm was incredible and Tennant was at his best and most emotional. Those scenes on gallifrey were undoubtedly the best I have ever seen animated on doctor who. Just spectacular. Those vin vocci scientists on the other hand were a little cheesy in my mind. They were a bit to cliche for me. If they replaced them with something else I'm sure that i would give that episode 10/10 If you look carefully they did that same thing again with the epicness of the desert and the cheesyness of the fly people things in the easter special. Of course, I won't reveal the ending to anyone who hasn't yet watched it but to see The Doctor being himself and seeing his loved ones for the last time in his form was the best way to end this series for the Tenth Doctor.
