Best season by farMan, the production values, writing, acting, plotting. It’s a quality reinvention of a great show. Some of the best sci-fi I’ve seen on TV in a long while. It’s not the cast. It’s the writing...The stories set up nicely but quickly take a nose dive with plot twists are often absurd and climaxes that fall flat. I’m not talking about usual Dr. Who delightful absurd, but instead the plain, painful, stupid kind. The writing on the wall is that these writers are sorely lacking. The 13th & first female Doctor does not deserve a debut such as this....Score: 1/5

Let’s set the record straightI don’t write reviews, but as a fan of Dr Who going on 35 years I’m going to say 1 thing to all the trolls. Jodie is a “Doctor” in the finest spirit of the series. Fails to impressThe problem with Chibnall's run with the Doctor isn't that she's a woman, though I do have my opinion on whether it was really necessary to change the gender, it's that Chibnall doesn't understand who the Doctor is. The Doctor is the the Oncoming Storm, but also the best friend you can ever have. He has the biggest capacity for love in the universe, and also the biggest capacity for hate. Unfortunately, the 13th Doctor is lukewarm at best, and doesn't have a unique charm because she's trying to alternatively imitate David Tennant's or Matt Smith's Doctor. Also, I don't like that they practically never left the Earth to visit other worlds, and there was really no over-arching plot thread to connect the adventures together in any meaningful way. I also don't understand why the Doctor needed to change genders. There have been plenty strong, independent women on the show, and insisting that the Doctor HAS to be a woman for there to be gender equality on the show is rather insulting to the other female characters. Honestly, if the Doctor had changed into a black man, the change in dynamic would've been much more intersting. Imagine if the Doctor, as a black man, in the Rosa Parks episode. I think it would've had a greater impact..Score: 2/5
Wanted it to be FANTASTIC… sadly…. **I had such high hopes for Ms Whittaker and the return of CC…. If I had only known the series would be so deeply disappointing I would have skipped all 3 seasons. Jodie wasn’t given the engaging stories or riveting plot lines her predecessors received, instead she was sadly beset by poor writing and even poorer plotting. Was the series a complete disaster? No—it had entertaining moments… but only moments. I hope in several years I can sit down and watch her series without feeling annoyed by the dialogue, acting and the BBC’s lousy choice of Executive Producer. Until then, I’m giving the series a sad thumbs down..Score: 2/5

Excited For A New Season!No one has seen the season yet, but I am very excited for a new season of Doctor Who! Give this Doctor a chance. I know how these season passes work, and they are usually very reliable. I personally have had only one issue, and it was a late episode. Maybe it just depends on where you live. If you like to stay up to date, and not miss a thing, then a seasons pass is your best bet if you want it as soon as it is available. Like I said, I want to give the new Doctor a chance. Too bad she’s not ginger though....Score: 4/5

Overall, I'm happyI'm content with the writing, acting and overall production. I do feel the price tag was rather steep for what's actually 10 episodes. Missing episodeLoving Jodie as the doctor. But it’s not fun waiting til next day each week to see episodes. Doctor who airs on Sundays yet I need to wait til Monday morning always. Excellent SeasonI’m reading an awful lot of bad reviews regarding this season, and whilst everyone is entitled to their own opinion, mines is that this is the best season since Tennant years. WowThe modern series is at a high that it hasn’t seen since the 10th Doctor. All the people complaining that the show has become too political clearly were only ever surface watching the other series - I mean the Master was an authoritarian leader with definite fascist tendencies and the Cyberman are clearly an allegory for a society that prevents individualism. If you look beyond the surface level Doctor Who has always been political the only difference is that it’s now fronted by a woman and if that’s the reason that has made you hate it, made you need to evaluate how you see women. A good seriesThis series doesn’t have lots of callbacks or threats to the universe, but it’s great for casual viewing and introduces us to Jodie Whittaker and her incredible take on the Doctor. It’s stand out episodes are the ones which delve into history, with Rosa and Demons of the Punjab being two of my favourites from this series. I know s11 isn’t for everyone, but it really is a good set of stories, all disconnected but connected at the same time. Loved it and will continue to rewatch it!.Score: 5/5
A nice change but....Love Jodie Whittaker I think she’s great. Love the new look with the more cinematic ratio. Love MOST of the new characters, apart from Tosin Cole (sorry) he’s bloody awful. Also I hate the lack of monsters and decent sci-fi elements. As a one off series I enjoyed it but next season had better get back to being proper who or I might have to look elsewhere for decent sci-fi..Score: 4/5
